AI is doing something different. It’s not replacing creators, it’s moving the playing field.

When I saw the biggest YouTuber on earth, MrBeast, react to AI right after Sora's release, the reaction made sense. We’re getting close to a moment where someone can recreate that level of MrBeast with less money and less time. If you’ve built an empire on scale, that’s a scary sentence.

Here’s the fork in the road I see.

  • Option one: keep doing what you do. Double down on the same playbook, the same timelines, the same definition of “quality.”

  • Option two: evolve. Not “let AI do everything.” Evolve as in: change what you value and how you work.

The Dilemma No One Wants To Say Out Loud

Creators like MrBeast have spent an enormous amount of money and time building the content catalog and the subscribers/followers they have. Big sets. Big teams. However, it paid off.

Your model can be different than what we have known this whole time. One person can feel like a team of ten with the new Sora 2. These videos are getting good here:

If production can be recreated, the advantage moves from budget to interpretation. From “how much can you spend?” to “how fast can you learn?”
